A Graduate of Florida State University, formerly an  instructor at Steve Colegate's Sailing School and a crew member of Ocean Navigator's passage making and celestial navigation training schooner Ocean Star, as well as serving as a private captain and founder of World Sail Excursions, inc., Dan brings experience from the world's foremost sail training organizations and distant corners of the sailing world. This combined with thousands of miles under sail both on various boats of his own and those he has crewed on board, ranging from J24s, Solings - Olympic class racing sloops to traditional tall ships

As the founder and captain of World Sail Excursions, Dan has a close personal interest in seeing his trainees excel in their pursuit of sailing understanding, knowledge and skill.  His immense and varied experience, especially as a distance single-hander gives the WSE trainee a wealth of unique knowledge to draw upon.
